Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy | USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences

Dr. Lisa Whittington is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy, Vice-chair of Education and Practice, and the Director of the Residency Programs at the USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr. Whittington received her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Illinois State University and her Doctor of Pharmacy from The University of Arizona. She has over 25 years of experience providing services to persons with psychiatric and substance use disorders as a licensed professional counselor and/or psychiatric pharmacist. She is a Past President of the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists and is the Chair for the Pharmacy Practice for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. Her areas of interest include digital health in pharmacy education and postgraduate training, comorbid psychiatric and medical complexity, trends in substance use, increasing access to care for persons with psychiatric and substance use disorders, the scholarship of teaching, and resident well-being.
